BG-Map TechNote

Avoid Naming Both Local and Network Folders as BGBASE

Updated 10/20/98

If BG-Map is accessing BG-BASE data through a network server, avoid naming a folder on your local C: drive as BGBASE. This causes BG-Map to become "confused" in trying to determine where to search for BG-BASE data. This may result in error messages such as "Unable to read quadrant from QUADRANTS or LOCATIONS table".

If you need to have a local copy of BG-BASE on your C: drive in addition to a copy on your server, name the local BG-BASE folder something other than BGBASE - LOCAL BGBASE, for example.
